Motorhead: What’s Words Worth? (live LP, Big Beat Records, licensed and reissued several times, originally released in 1983)
Recorded at a charity event on 18 February 1978 whose purpose was to raise funds to preserve rare William Wordsworth documents; Motorhead was billed under the pseudonym Iron Fist and the Hordes from Hell. This recording was released on the Big Beat label in 1983 after Motorhead had achieved popularity (Big Beat was owned by Chiswick Records and reissued Motorhead’s Chiswick recordings in many different editions over the years). The track “White Line Fever”, however, had surfaced as far back as 1981 on the famous Live and Heavy compilation LP.
This recording has been retitled and reissued many times through the years on both vinyl and CD, and this is likely not a comprehensive representation of the releases.
